The Porcupine Warriors were scheduled to play Edding Sports in the preliminary round of the competition on November 28 but the Confederation of African Football called off the fixture following the late submission of a club by the Federations of Cameroonian Football (FECAFOOT).

The Cameroonian outfit were supposed to represent the country in the upcoming CAF Confederations Cup after winning the 2016/17 Ligue 1.

The decision was made after the former Ghanaian champions refused to re-schedule the fixture to a future date.

Edding Sports were supposed to play Lion Blesse in the Cameroon FA Cup final for a ticket to the competition.

However, with the final being played just three days to face Kotoko, Edding Sports were elected to represent Cameroon.

But on Saturday CAF announced that Asante Kotoko have been handed a walk-over following the delaying in the submission a representative by FECAFOOT.
