CAF Confederations Cup: Kotoko lands in Kenya ahead of Sharks clash

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have finally arrived in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi ahead of the first leg CAF Confederation Cup tie against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.

The Porcupine Warriors flew in from Addis Ababa where they had been transiting from Accra on Wednesday.

Coach C.K Akunnor and his charges held their first training session after their arrival and a lunchtime meal.

Kotoko were handed a walkover victory in the preliminary round of the Caf Confederation Cup after Cameroonian FA failed to meet the deadline to present their representatives for the competition without kicking a ball

On the other hand, Sharks defeated Arta Solar 7 of Djibouti 10-1 on aggregate.

Ahead of the game, the Kenyan giants have been calling on their home fans to rally support behind the team on Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

Kotoko named a 21-man squad for the match as coach C.K. Akunnor looks to begin his Africa campaign on a good note.
