CAF Confederations Cup: Maxwell Baako believes Kotoko will edge out Kariobangi Sharks

Asante Kotoko winger Maxwell Baakoh says his outfit is not afraid of the exploits of  Kenyan giants Kariobangi Stars in their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup game next week.

He believes the Porcupine Warriors will eliminate the Kenyan's from the competition as they aim to qualify to the money zone.

Speaking exclusively to asantekotokosc.com,  Baakoh revealed he has watched clips of the preliminary round opponent and feels strongly that the Reds have the quality to edge them out over the two legs.

Asante Kotoko will face Kariobangi Sharks who impressed in the first round by eliminating Djibouti's Alter Solar by 9-2 on aggregate after earning a walkover in the first preliminary round.

"Kariobangi Sharks? They don't scare us. No. We will eliminate them. I have watched videos of four of their recent matches and saw that we have what it takes to eliminate them," the Karela FC winger said of Kotoko chances.

"I observed them closely and they are not as solid as is being portrayed by their results against Alter Solar. With the right approach, we can even beat them in both legs."

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will play the Black Meteors of Ghana in a friendly match on Sunday as they intensify preparations ahead of their Africa campaign.
