Caleb Amankwah is the toughest defender I have played against – Opoku Mensah

Former Asante Kotoko striker, William Opoku Mensah has named Hearts of Oak defender, Caleb Amankwah as the toughest he has played against.

Amankwah who joined the Phobaisn after leaving Aduana Stars prior to the start of the second half of the season has been impressive under Samuel Boadu

And according to Mensah, Amankwah gave him a tough time during his Aduana Stars days while he was with the Porcupine Warriors.

Speaking to Germany based Topical Radio, Mensah hailed the qualities of the former WAFA defender.

“Accra Hearts of Oak’s Caleb Amankwaah is my toughest defender l have met in the Ghana Premier League," he said.

“He gave me a tough time whenever l met him during his Aduana Stars days.

“He is a very smart and a good player," he added.

Amankwah, 23, who has since switched to 20-times Ghana premier league holders Hearts of Oak, is yet to fully settle at the club in the 2020/21 league season.

Opoku Mensah however made a brief switch to Liberty Professionals after leaving Asante Kotoko following the expiration of his contract.

He has since signed a 2-year deal with Rwandan club, Mukura Victory.

Aside from Kotoko and Liberty Professionals, the 25-year-old has played for Karela United.
