Ghana forward Caleb Ekuban has come under stinging criticism from Genoa fans after failing to impress since his arrival.
The 27-year-old secured a move to the Rossoblu outfit in the summer transfer window from Trabzonspor for a reported €1.8 million.
Ekuban penned a deal until June 2024 with Genoa and the former Leeds striker from Ghana returns to Italy, where he started his career with at Mantova.
Since joining the club, Ekuban has a paltry 118 minutes from three matches and subsequently missed the side games against Fiorentina and Bologna respectively due to injury.
The enterprising forward who enjoyed a descent campaign with Trabzonspor last season had high expectations of Genoa but is yet to meet the expectations with his performance on the field in the past weeks.
