Ghana international Caleb Ekuban has undergone an MRI scan at Trabzonspor after complaining of a groin injury.

The attacker is one of the top players at the club but could not play the full 90 minutes when they lost to Besiktas over the past weekend on the opening weekend of the Turkish Super Lig season.

Subsequently, on Monday, Caleb Ekuban had to undergo an MRI scan to ascertain the extent of a groin problem he complained of.

The results proved that the problem is not that bad as feared but the attacker will need to spend time on the sidelines.

Checks have revealed that the medical team at Trabzonspor has already drawn a recovery program for the 26-year old which he is expected to follow in the next few days.

If he is able to make significant progress, Ekuban will return to action on Saturday when his team hosts Antalyaspor on Matchday 2.
