Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has made a bold assertion that there are two players in world football capable of reaching the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both players have been crowned Ballon d'Or winners multiple times and have long been regarded as the best of their generation, not to mentionpossibly of all time.

With Ronaldo now aged 31 and Messi 29, many football fans are starting to consider the unbearable prospect of life without the two superstars, despite both insisting they have plenty more years left at the top of the game.

Whilst many supporters and pundits are sceptical that world football will see another player with similar capabilities, Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti clearly disagrees and named who he believes could take over from the duo.

He told Tuttosport (as quoted byGoal):"[Paulo] Dybala can make history at Juventus over the next 10 years. He is unique, you cannot compare him to any other player.

"Dybala and Neymar can become the heirs of Messi and Ronaldo."

Dybala has currently scored four goals this season for Juventus and has been touted as a future star of the game. The striker has been linked with a big money move to Ronaldo's Real Madrid, despite the club being placed undera transfer embargo until January 2018.

Neymar, meanwhile, has long been seen as a successor to Messi after Barcelona paid big money for the Brazilian back in 2013 to bring him to the Nou Camp.

That very transfer has been subject to a criminal investigation by Spanish prosecutors who have now launched a case against Neymar and those involved in the deal, after irregularitiesare believed to have emerged over the exact fee.

Both Barcelona and Neymar vehementlydeny any wrongdoing and have insisted they will appeal the decision to open the case.

National Court initially threw out Neymar's transfer case in July over lack of evidence but court has decided to reopen the case. [marca]

Regardless of the outcome, both Neymar and Dybala will have a long way to go if they are to match anything that Messi or Ronaldo have achieved in their careers so far.

The two are again expected to be the main contenders to win this year's Ballon d'Or prize, having dominated the award since 2008.

It's unlikely we'll see either Dybala or Neymar come close to winning FIFA's most coveted individual prize anytime soon.

Ronaldo recently signed a new five-year-deal at the Bernabeu and Messi is contracted at the Nou Camp until at least 2018 meaning both players are likely to continue dominating world football for a couple more years at least.
