Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he has too much loyalty to his former sides to ever consider coaching any of their rival teams.
The newly appointed Bayern Munich manager has coached both Real Madrid and AC Milan to Champions League success and his affiliation for both teams is why he could never take the reins at the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan or Lazio.
Speaking toMarcathe veteran Italian coach said: "No, I will never train Atleti or Barca,I respect the history of the rivalry and in the same way, I couldn't train either Lazio or Inter. It's my story and respect is very important. I have a lot of respect for Atletico and Barcelona, but I can't train them because I've coached Real Madrid for two years."
Ancelotti had spent a year out of management before he was appointed Pep Guardiola's successor in Bavaria after being dismissed by Real Madrid in the summer of 2015 despite leading them to their much coveted 'La Decima' triumph.
His current club have been drawn against Real's cross-cityrivals Atletico in the group stages of the Champions League and travel to the Vicente Calderon on 28th September for a repeat of last seasons semi-final.
But despite his connections with 'Los Blancos', Ancelotti is not expecting anything out of the usual when he visits the Spanish capital to take on Diego Simeone's hostile side.
"The reception will be normal for a rival team and a rival coach. I'll do my job, which is the challenge of winning at the Calderon."
