Celta Vigo manager Fran Escribá has explained why Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo left the pitch on a stretcher as they drew with 0-0 with Atlético Madrid.
Escribá says Aidoo was a "little dizzy" after colliding with Spain international Diego Costa in their goalless draw game.
The 23-year-old put an incredible display to help his side pick up a vital point at the Wando Metropolitano despite playing through pain.
He managed 94% pass success rate, won one tackle, and made two aerial duels with a clean sheet.
"Regarding Aidoo, he is a little dizzy, he didn't see well. It was a very hard blow in a bad position and we are going to see what happens," Fran Escriba said after the game.
The Ghanaian has reportedly recovered and reported to training on Monday morning at the club's A Madroa Sporting center.
The former Inter Allies defender has made an impressive start to the La Liga season since joining them in the summer.
