Cesc Fabregas' days at Stamford Bridge are numberedafter a conversation with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed that he would be allowed to leave the club before the end of the transfer window on Wednesday.

Reported in the Sun, Conte is set to send out a clear message to his players that they will not be considered for selection if they do not abide by his philosophy.

Fabregas is yet to make a Premier League start for the Blues under the Italian manager this season, with a midfieldtrio ofOscar, N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic preferred instead.

The Spaniard did haul himself off of the bench to lay on Diego Costa's winning goal over Watfordat Vicarage Road, however his application in training has seen him fall out of favour in west London.

Arriving in 2014, the 29-year-old was pivotal in Chelsea's 2014-15 title charge however after a disappointing season as areigning champion, the former Barcelona and Arsenal man will be allowed to look for a new club.

Conte's sides thrive upon hard work, an attribute Fabregas has been questioned over throughout his career, and the new manager at the Bridge appears sounhappy with Fabregas' ethic, that he does not figure in the club's long term plans anymore as he looks to impose his high tempo playing style on the side.

Chelsea gained their first clean sheet in 13 games at Stamford Bridge against Burnley on Saturday with recent acquisition Kante receiving high praise for his high energy performance in the middle of the park whilst Fabregas watched on from the sidelines.
