Chattanooga Red Wolves SC defender Nicholas Amponsah set sights on Black Meteors call-up

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC defender Nicholas Opoku has set sights on representing the Black Meteors of Ghana following his impressive performance in the American USL Championship.

Opoku has been one of the standout players for USL Championship side so far in the 2019/20 season.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with SportsworldGhana.com,  said it will be a dream to play for Ghana U-23 national team.

“Oh yeah, it’s my dream to play for the Black Meteors. It’s not only me but I think every Ghanaian player will say same if you ask him this question,” he said.

“I’m happy with my form this season in the USL Championship but the job I will keep working harder to make my dream of getting invitation to play for the Black Meteors a reality.”

The 22-year old has made 20 appearances and scored one goal for Chattanooga Red Wolves SC this term.

Ghana have already qualified for 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations which will staged in Egypt.
