Chelsea and Manchester City are set to learn if they will face disciplinary action from the FA following the brawl that erupted towards the end of Saturday's Premier League meeting at the Etihad Stadium, Sky Sports has revealed.
Sergio Aguero's horror tackle on David Luiz, for which the Argentine superstar will serve a four-game ban, saw tempers erupt in the closing stages of the game.
City midfielder Fernandinho was also dismissed for grabbing Chelsea counterpart Cesc Fabregas by the throat and pushing him over advertising boards into the stand - an act for which the Brazilian earned an automatic three-game suspension.

But more could still come from the FA's disciplinary panel. Fabregas himself may be hit with retrospective action after a slap, seemingly unseen by officials at the time, appeared to initiate the incident with Fernandinho, while both clubs are facing possiblesanctions for failing to control their players.
Such a charge for the clubs could result in significant fines for each.
The majority of the players on the pitch were involved in the scuffle, with Nathaniel Chalobah's aggressive initial push on Aguero responsible for sending City players over the edge. Personnel from both benches jumped up to intervene, with Diego Costa among those playing the role of peace-maker.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, John Stones claimed City were harshly treated by referee Anthony Taylor.
"I don't want to say too much and get in trouble for saying things but I think we have ended up on the bad side of what happened," he said.
"I know Sergio's tackle was in no way good, but what happened after that when a few of their boys came in, I didn't think it was fairly balanced."
