Christian Atsu has been rescued, he is in a local hospital - Agent of Bernard Mensah

According to Bernard Mensah's agent called Murat who is in Turkey winger Christian Atsu has been successfully rescued from the collapsed building. Hatayspor Sporting director Taner Savut is yet to be pulled out of the rubble.

Speaking to Peace FM monitored by Footballghana.com Murat said winger Christian Atsu, who was trapped beneath the debris in Kahramanmaraş after the 7.7-magnitude earthquake has been rescued. He added that he spoke to some officials of Atsu's team and they confirmed the positive news.

According to reports so far, 3,381 have lost their lives and 20,426 have been injured. The number of buildings found to be destroyed is 5,775.

"We had a nightmare since yesterday I am the agent of Bernard Mensah and some Ghana players also in Turkey. Christian is also our very close friend since the earthquake we try to reach him of course it is not easy it is the biggest earthquake in Turkish history," he said.

"Many cities have been destroyed and I was talking with Hatayspor his club vice president, sport director I couldn't reach sport director he is still under the building. But vice president always informed us and I think two hours ago got good news he was saved he was rescued and is in the hospital we couldn't learn which hospital he was we just know he has small injuries but we don't know the type of injuries of course,"

"I am still trying to get news but the good one is he is alive and it is good now. I also heard misinformation and fake news about yesterday nobody reach him actually so this news is two hours ago confirmed and verified so now he is ok and we praying for him,"
