Christian Pulisic will stay at Dortmund 'at least until the end of the season' - Zorc

Published on: 19 November 2018

With Liverpool and Chelsea reportedly eyeing Christian Pulisic, Ale Moreno and Craig Burley discuss whether he should leave Dortmund or stay put.

Former England international thinks that working under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool would be better for Pulisic, should he decide to move from Dortmund.

Christian Pulisic talks exclusively to Taylor Twellman about his future with Borussia Dortmund and the adversity of suffering a few injuries.

Christian Pulisic will not move in the January transfer window, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told kicker amid the U.S. international's links with Chelsea and Liverpool.

Pulisic is under contract at Dortmund until 2020, and has so far not agreed to a new deal with the Bundesliga club.

During the November international break, UK media outlets reported that Chelsea and Liverpool are battling for the forward's signature and could lure him to England as early as January.

But Dortmund don't plan to let go of Pulisic, 20, as they push for their first Bundesliga title since the 2011-12 season.

"We are planning with him at least until the end of the season," BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told kicker, acknowledging the recent rumours as nothing new.

"We will need Christian significantly."

German football magazine kicker also reported that the scenario will likely change in the summer as Dortmund look to cash in on the United States international.

Pulisic, who has featured in 12 of Dortmund's 17 games this season, has made more than 100 competitive appearances since his debut in January 2016.

Following an injury layoff in October, he has dropped down the pecking order behind England international Jadon Sancho and Danish youngster Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Pulisic said last week that "the Premier League is where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why one day I won't play there."
