Former Ghana goalkeeper Ali Jarrah believes that CK Akonnor has what it takes to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title provided he gets the needed support.
The Black Stars have failed to lift the prestigious trophy since 1982, leading to frustration from the fans.
They came close in 1992, 2010 and 2015 where they reached the finals but ultimately fell to their opponents.
With that in consideration, Jarrah believes that the long drought can be ended by the leadership of CK Akonnor.
"C.K needs support. The materials are there and through support we can break that jinx," he toldCiti TV's The Tracker Show.
"C.K Akonnor was appointed because he is capable so we should allow him pick his best team, make his on decisions," he added.
"The players must play for C.K and the not country, they should see him as a former captain and I tell you we can win the AFCON."
