Head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Charles Kwablah Akonnor has donated hand sanitizers to hawkers in Accra to be used as protection against the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Covid-19 remains the world's enemy today after being declared as an outbreak in the city of Wuhan in the Hubei Province of China back in January of this year. Two months on, the virus has spread to more than 180 countries and has so far infected over 584,000 people while killing at least 26,000 people.

In Ghana, there has been 136 confirmed cases with 3 deaths as well. Government and health experts in the country continue to drum on the importance of constant handwashing and the use of sanitizers as prevention measures against contracting the disease.

In a bid to help, Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor took to the streets of the capital city today to share hand sanitizers to hawkers.

He has urged all to stay safe and healthy through these trying times.

Below are some pictures of CK Akonnor's gesture earlier this afternoon.
