The former Black Stars player John Painstil has offered some advice to current Black Stars coach CK Akonnor ahead of the competitions he will lead the team to.
John Paintsil has been a long term servant of the Black Stars and has huge experience at the top level. He has played for the likes of Fulham and Charlton in his glittering career.
The current director of Legon Cities told Joy FM that CK Akonnor needs to provide the right medicine to the current crop of players in the senior men's national team.
"The coach has to be disciplined. CK has coached a number of clubs but it is not the same as the national team. He needs to give the team the right medicine".
He also added that the Black Stars head coach role is a difficult task and an easy one at the same time.
"That position is a very big position. I think anybody that takes the Black Stars job will find it tough and easy. The easy way is he won’t struggle to get players. The hard way is all the players are big boys. They have wives and families".
