Annor Walker, the head coach of Black Stars B, has eliminated a number of players from the list of 43 players he called up for training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Annor Walker called up 43 players last week for a camp in Prampram as the squad prepared for an upcoming assignment.
The squad began training camp last Wednesday and has already played two friendly games, winning 2-0 and 4-2 against Koforidua Suhyen SC and Golden Kicks, respectively.
Annor Walker revealed in an interview with Wontumi FM on Friday morning that he will decrease the number of players in camp to 30 and invite 5 additional players as he seeks a core unit.
“We will train this morning and afterwards I will reduce the number to 30 before adding another five. Then a week later I will reduce it again to get my core 30 players to begin the real work together with my assistant, Dr. Prosper Nartey.
“From there we will work on how we want the team to play and the things they need to know,” Annor Walker said on Friday morning.
Despite the fact that the identities of the players eliminated have not been made public, according to MahamaShaibu.com Alhassan Siisu of Steadfast, Terry Yegbe of Vision FC, and Dreams FC pair Victor Oduro and Maxwell Arthur are among those who have been dropped.
Also, Kwame Peprah, Rashid Mohammed, and WAFA's Augustine Boakye are not among the 43 players that went to camp last week Wednesday; the three have agreed to moves eslewhere.
Annor Walker said that 5 new players would join the club on Monday. The team will continue to practice and play friendly games while Annor Walker prepares to trim the squad for forthcoming assignments.
