Head coach for the Ghana women’s U-17 team, Baba Nuhu has noted that he laughs whenever he hears people saying his players are scared ahead of the Nigeria encounter.

Nicknamed the Black Maidens, the team is set to take on its counterpart from Nigeria in a crucial two-legged tie for a spot at the next FIFA U-17 women’s world cup.

As the team adds finishing touches at its training camp, coach Baba Nuhu has insisted that his girls are not scared of the opponent.

“When people talk about my girls been scared, I laugh because this is not Black Stars vs. Green Eagles. Remember these are women sides, Under 17 sides”, the gaffer said in an interview with the communications team of the GFA.

Coach Baba Nuhu added, “Ghana has always been a tough customer for this age category and I believe that they will be more scared of us than we will do because we have always qualified to the tournament and excelled”.

The coach says he is focused and has a plan for his team going into the first leg tie which will be played in Ghana.
