Coach Enos Adepa believes there is no easy way to decide fate of football season

Former Karela United head coach, Enos Adepa has shared that there is no easy way to decide the fate of the 2019/2020 football season in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

Football in Ghana has been on hold since the middle of March following a directive from the government banning all public gatherings including sporting activities.

Earlier this month, the government made matters worse when it announced that it is extending the ban on football activities until July 31, 2020.

While the conversation on what should happen to the season continues, Enos Adepa says there is no easy way out.

“On that issue as to continue or cancel, I will say it’s very dicey, many will say it should be canceled in the sense that, all the Premier League teams would have to start full pre-season again for about 6 weeks or 2 months because the players have stayed home for long", the coach said in an interview with Kumasi FM.

He added, “When you look at the remaining months ahead of us to complete the season and start next season is not possible the GFA will also run as a loss concerning Sponsorship deals so I will say I will be okay if it’s canceled and will be okay if it’s continued”.

The Ghana FA says it is continuing talks with the government and will make a decision on the fate of the season at the end of June.
