Coach Ibrahim Tanko hands call-up to 11 foreign-based players ahead of U-23 Afcon

Black Meteors of Ghana head coach Ibrahim Tanko has handed call-ups to 11 foreign-based players ahead of the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations to be staged in Egypt from November 5 to 22.

11 players will be joining the locally based players as they continue preparation for next month's competition.

The players include Robin Polly, son of former Black Stars striker Prince Polly who plays for Dutch side ADO den Haag as well as former Inter Allies and Black Stars winger Evans Mensah who plies his trade in Finland.

Spanish quintet of Kwabena Owusu, Yaw Yeboah, Kingsley Fobi, Samuel Obeng, and Emmanuel Lomotey have also been included in the list of players for the trip to Egypt.

Former Liberty Professional Simon Zibo and Edward Sarpong, will join Joseph Paintsil of Belgian giants Genk, and Issah Abass of the Dutch league to complete the list.
