Dr. Kofi Amoah, Chairman of the Normalization Committee says Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah will be fired provided he fails to win this year's African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He stated that it is in coach Kwesi Appiah's contract that he needs to win 2019 Afcon to save his job else he will be shown the exit door. He also emphasized the Government of Ghana through the Sports Ministry will extend coach Kwesi Appiah's contract which will expire at the the end of the tournament.
"Government has decided to extend coach Kwesi Appiah 's contract to cover the AFCON period but coach Kwesi Appiah needs to win the 2019 AFCON. If he doesn't win, he is gone, it’s stated in his contract", he said on Adom TV 'Fire for Fire' Sports Show.
"We will ensure we get our money's worth". The President of Ghana is ready to end the 37-years of trophy drought".
This the second time the former Black Stars player is managing Ghana after 2014 Brazil World Cup Mafiaso. He had been charged to clinch the ultimate when the Africa giants meet in Egypt to battle it off in June.
The four member committee chaired by Dr.Kofi Amoah has March 30, 2019 to finalize their mandatory.
