Coach Maxwell Konadu describes Kwadwo Asamoah’s injury as unfortunate

Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu is sad with the recent injury to Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.

Asamoah suffered a knee injury whiles playing for his club side Juventus in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Palermo in the Italian Serie A.

The 26-year old who was on the verge of returning to the national team is expected to be out for four weeks.

This Maxwell Konadu describes as unfortunate.

“Kwadwo’s injury was unfortunate because it happened at a time he had agreed to play for the National team again,” he said

“He is a player I know very well and this will be a big blow to everybody who is associated with him.”

“We are with him in prayers and I don’t know how long he will be out but one thing is certain and that is we are with him in prayers.”

“We hope that he is able to recover in time to join his colleagues once again.”

Ghana is set to begin the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against the Cranes of Uganda on the 7th of October 2016.
