Coach Maxwell Konadu reportedly won't move to Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko have reportedly decided they will not pursue coach Maxwell Konadu ahead of the start of the new season, Footballghana.com can report.

The move has been called off despite reports in the local media claiming that the Black Stars B gaffer has reached agreement with the club to take over the vacant job.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently without a head coach after the sacking of Norwegian coach Kjetil Zachariassen due to the failure to reach the group stages of the 2019/20 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

The management of the Kumasi-based club will be announcing a foreigner as their new head coach.

Coach Konadu guided the Reds lads to clinch the Ghana Premier League title during the 2011/12 season.

He was named the best coach at the 2019 WAFU Cup after helping Ghana to finish second after the tournament.
