Former Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has shared that it is important Ghanaians support the current crop of players in the Black Stars.

Speaking at a press conference in Doha, Qatar after Ghana lost 2-0 to Uruguay, the gaffer said he was disappointed because his side wanted to advance to the Round 16 stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Going forward, he believes Ghana has a very good squad and wants Ghanaians to support and encourage the team.

‘’And like I said, this is football, it’s the ugly side of football. But if it’s not where we wanted to go, it’s definitely not the end. If we are not yet at where we wanted to go and we wanted more, even though we made it and we wanted more, it’s not the end.

‘’We have a young and talented group which needs the support of every one of us, even in bad times. I can just underline that this group of players is very, very good and would need the support of all Ghanaians,” Coach Otto Addo said.

The gaffer after Ghana’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup is back home in Germany where he has been given an emotional welcome by his family.
