Head Coach of the Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has admitted the Nigeriens gave his side a tough match.

The Black Starlets were held to a goalless draw in full time by Niger in the first semifinal at the Africa Junior Championship before eventually winning on penalties to progress into the finals.

Ghana created numerous chances but failed to final the back of the net with Eric Ayiah and Emmanuel Toku come close on a number of occasions.

However, Coach of the side, Paa Kwesi Fabin indicated the Nigeriens were tactically and had a game plan that kept them at bay.

''We have given people of Port Gentil really entertainment, it was a very tactical match and I want to congratulate Niger for giving us a very good match,'' Fabin said in a post-match interview

''Though we had chances, we missed them up but we are lucky to go through on penalties, we would go back into the drawing and correct the mistakes before heading for the final on Sunday.

''We scored nine goals in the first two matches and we couldn't score in the last two matches.

''I wished I can be crowned winners of this tournament now because I don't have any preference between Mali and Guinea.''

Ghana last made it to the final in 2005 where they were beaten by Congo. However the two times champions will now face Mali on Sunday in the final.
