Head coach for Accra Hearts of Oak, Edward Nii Odoom has revealed that coaches will need to prepare players psychologically and mentally when football is given the green light to return.

Football has been on hold since March because of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease which has become a crisis in Ghana.

While the talk of the football season returning continues, Coach Nii Odoom says clubs will need up to 6 weeks to get ready.

“Yes we will need up to six weeks to train and I agree with Maxwell. We have to prepare them psychologically, mentally and physically and this also requires time”, the Hearts of Oak head coach said in an interview with Happy FM.

Meanwhile, the same suggestion has been made by Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu.

Nonetheless, it is uncertain when the government will pave way for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to see to the resumption of football.
