The organizers of the GFA Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition has confirmed that the tier 1 final between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Karela United will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After two months of competitive football, the boys have been separated from the men with the tier 1 competition at its conclusion stage.
According to Kennedy Boakye Ansah who is the spokesperson of the competition, the match which comes off on Sunday, June 30, will kick off at 15:00GMT.
“The final of the NC Special Competition tier one between Kotoko and Karela United will be played on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:00PM”, he said in an interview with Kingdom FM.
Kotoko booked their place in the final yesterday when they beat Hearts of Oak 5-4 on penalties. Karela, on the other hand, dispatched Obuasi Ashanti Gold at their own backyard courtesy a solitary goal from the competitions top scorer Diawisie Taylor.
The side that will be crowned the winner of the competition at the end of the day will have the opportunity of representing Ghana in the next edition of the CAF Champions League.
