Confusion Reigns as Man Utd Newcomer Undergoes Individual Training in Attempt to Regain Fitness

Manchester United's summer signingHenrikh Mkhitaryan has been taking extra training sessions alone in order to regain his fitness, according toreports.


The 27-year-old, who completed a£26.3m summer switch from Dortmund, has been the subject of widespread confusion at Old Trafford this season after failing to appear since being taken off at half-time on his full debut in the Manchester derby.

The Armenian winger was declared fully fit for United's clash with Burnley on Saturday, but he failed to make it into Jose Mourinho's match-day squad; yet now, we're being toldhe's been taking individual training sessions in order TOget fit...



Mourinho went on to explainthat the player simply lacks match fitness and 'needs time' to adjust to the pace andcompetitiveness of the Premier League.

According to theManchester Evening News,Mkhitaryan has taken it upon himself to regain his fitness by training alone at Man Utd's training ground.


They wrote: "Henrikh Mkhitaryan trained on his own at Carrington on Sunday out of choice after he was not involved in Manchester United's draw against Burnley.


"United players were given Sunday off by Jose Mourinho but Mkhitaryan chose to enhance his fitness at the club's training complex, contrary to reports claiming he was made to train alone.

Next up for the Red Devils is a tough mid-week trip to Turkey to faceFenerbahçe in the Europa League, that is before a trip to the slightly less intimidating south-Wales to face Swansea City.
