Coronavirus: Emmanuel Adebayor under 14-day quarantine after touching down in Benin

Togolese forward, Emmanuel Adebayor has been quarantined for the next 14 days by Benin authorities after touching down in the country as a precautionary measure against the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The player who now plays his football in Paraguay with Club Olimpia passed through Benin on his way back to Togo following the suspension of football in the South American country.

After getting to Benin, authorities have put Adebayor in quarantine in line with measures they have put in place with regards with travelers who go through the country.

The former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker has not tested positive to the Covid-19 but is expected to be observed for the next 14 days. If he doesn’t show symptoms after that, he will be free from quarantine and will be allowed to continue his journey to Togo.

According to reports from Benin, Emmanuel Adebayor is complying with the protocols as he sides with the decision by the Benin government to ensure everyone is safe.
