Cosmos Dauda wants to win back fans love

Accra Hearts of Oak striker Comos Dauda insists he has to keep scoring to win back the fans of the club.

Dauda has come under intense pressure from the demanding fans of Accra Hearts of Oak after a stellar first season with the club where he ended up as the club’s top scorer.

The attacker has failed to replicate that form scoring only twice in the first round of the premier league.

However, Dauda insists he felt great when he scored looking at how the fans reacted to the goal. The striker scored with his first touch when he replaced Kwame Kizito in the game against Liberty on Sunday.

“It’s a great feeling. I am a mentally tough person. I believe football is all about the fans. I missed their love and when I scored that goal it feels like I owe a lot to them,” he said.

“It’s so much important to me that I have to keep that habit. It’s been a challenging period, I know and I’m working and I’m not sleeping. I missed their love and I’m hoping their keep encouraging me and giving me the push I need. I think more of this will be appreciated,” he added.

The strong striker however is positive things will turn for good after scoring yesterday.

Hearts will host Liberty at the Accra Sports Stadium in the return fixture when the second half of the season begins.
