The Brazilian scored and assisted in Sunday's 6-1 defeat of Watford, putting in a brilliant offensive display, which has been typical of him as of late.

Liverpool now sit atop the standings in the Premier League, with both Manchester City and Arsenal failing to pick up maximum points this weekend. Chelsea trail just one point behind in second place, however, having picked up their fifth win and fifth consecutive clean sheet with a scintillating 5-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

Outside the pitch,Coutinho claims that he still speaks to Barcelona forward Luis Suarez about Liverpool. Suarez left Anfield to join the Spanish giants two years ago, but the midfield man saysthat the Uruguay international still follows the Reds closely.

The two players met before Barcelona took on Manchester City in the Champions League last week, and Coutinho posted a photo of himself and Suarez on his Instagram account.

Speaking to the club'sofficial website, Coutinho said:I met with him, we hugged each other and he saw my daughter again. He had the opportunity to come back to Liverpool to visit previously and meet my daughter, so we got together again this time and took some pictures. It was very nice.

He is very happy. He has a very big passion for this football club and follows us from a distance, so he is very happy with our journey so far and supports us from there.
