Ghanaian international Jackson Owusu has enjoyed league success with Gor Mahia after authorities announced that the Premier League has been ended as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender joined the club last January as he reunited with former head coach for the Porcupine Warriors, Steve Polack.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, football authorities in Kenya have announced that the season cannot be continued. Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa confirmed the news while stating that the team on top of the league table has been declared as champions.
The FKF says that the decision was taken based on the fact that 68% of the league's games were played before the COVID-19 crisis came around.
In line with that, Gor Mahia who sits top of the League standings after 23 games with 54 points will be crowned champions.
This means that Jackson Owusu who plays for the club will get a medal and will enjoy league triumph in Kenya.
