Covid-19: Kwabena Yeboah insists football in Ghana can only survive through divine intervention

Ace broadcast journalist, Kwabena Yeboah has indicated that it will be difficult for football to survive through the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis if there is no divine intervention.

The Ghana Premier League, the Division One League, the Women's Premier League, as well as all the Juvenile Leagues have been on hold for the past 2 months as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus disease.

With no certainty as to when the war against the disease will be won, it is unclear when football will make a return. Due to the inactivity, clubs in the country continue to cry for help to be able to pay the salaries of their players and other staff.

According to Kwabena Yeboah, all indications show that football in Ghana may collapse due to the difficulty presented by the Covid-19.

"Unless there is divine intervention Ghana football may collapse in these Covid-19 times", the celebrated sports journalist told Joy FM.

All clubs in the country are suffering financially with some of the club owners disclosing that they have no money to continue playing players.
