What has been described as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) has as of Friday, April 10, 2020, infected over 1.6 million people and has also sent more than 100,000 people to their graves.

In a post on Twitter, Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu has noted that the world can beat the pandemic. Using the 27 years African hero Nelson Mandela spent in prison as a yardstick, the Black Stars asset draws inspiration and say this shall also pass.
