Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Hopes for Son's Playing Career and Admits He Has a Position in Mind

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he hopes his son grows up to follow in his footsteps andbecome a footballer - and revealed that he already has a position picked out for the six-year-old.


The four-time Ballon d'Or winner insisted that he doesn't want to put any pressure on the youngster, encouraging him to find his own path in life, but said that he'd prefer that Cristiano Jr played as a striker rather than a goalkeeper.

"Of course I want my son to be a footballer player like his daddy," Ronaldo told Egyptian channel ON E TV (viaFourFourTwo)."I know it's a big challenge, it's not easy. But he will be whatever he wants, I won't make pressure.


"I will push him a little bit to be a football player. Not to be a goalkeeper, I want him to be a striker.But he will be whatever he wants. I'm not worried."

The younger Ronaldo has already shown off a bit of burgeoning star power of late - becoming an internet sensation for a day after being caught on camera celebrating his dad's Ballon d'Or win with a high-five and a dab earlier this month.
