Despite failing to score in his opening three Serie A appearances, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo can take solace in his scoring record in the month of September.
The Bianconeri have won their first three league fixtures so far and scored seven times in that time but the 33-year-old Portuguese superstar did not score any of them.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he has taken 23 shots in 270 minutes – excluding stoppage time – of Serie A action with eight of them coming from outside of the penalty area, but September is potentially when he finds form due to his incredible record of scoring 57 times in that month with Real Madrid.
Ronaldo has five matches in which he can sustain that trend. Juventus will play against Sassuolo, Frosinone, Bologna, and Napoli in their following Italian league fixtures after the international break while the Bianconeri also have their first Champions League fixture for 2018/19 against Spanish side Valencia on September 19.
