Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has revealed the one Liverpool player that he simply loves to watch from the dugout, and you would have to go a long way to find a Premier League manager who would disagree.

The Eagles welcome Jurgen Klopp's Reds to Selhurst Park in the evening kick off on Saturday, and the club's big summer signing Christian Benteke will be facing his former suitors for the first time since leaving in the summer, however for Pardew, this clash means he gets to watch a player he highly admires on the opposition - Philippe Coutinho.

According to theLiverpool Echo, Pardew spoke of the trouble that the Brazilian international caused his own side last year, however despite appreciating his ability, he suggested that he's nothing more than the opposition at the weekend.

The player who caused us the most trouble last year was Coutinho," said Pardew.

"He has a fantastic technique and a player that “ if you take my Crystal Palace out of the equation “ is a player I love to watch.

You can't help but love the way he flows, the way he moves, his technique and he's a player I would love to have at this football club. But he's our opposition tomorrow."

The 24-year-old has scored four goals and also has two assists to his name in just eight Premier League matches, and will be looking to add to that away in London this weekend.

I used to laugh when I saw Philippe Coutinho linked with #Real Madrid now I'm worried! https://t.co/362xbT4fIa

He has also recently been sparking the attention of La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona as he proves himself to be one of the best players in the English top flight in his position.
