Crystal Palace defender Jeffrey Schlupp has lauded his side's impressive win over English Premier League side Manchester City over the weekend.

Schlupp, 26, scored for Palace in their 3-2 win over Manchester City at the Etihad stadium.

Ilkay Gündoğan strode through a static defence to reach Delph’s cross and beat Vicente Guaita with a firm header to open the scores for the home side.

But Palace pulled parity from a magnificent equalizer from Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp on 33 minutes.

However, it was Andros Townsend wonder goal that helped the visitors to the stun City at the own backyard before Luka Milivojevic scored from the spot kick to complete the famous win.

And versatile Jeff Schlupp has hailed the side's 'special' performance.

“It was a special performance, to come to a club like Manchester City is never easy and I feel we fully deserved the three points, said Schlupp as he spoke after the match and revealed that the side were intent on going into the game with a firm belief in their mind." he told the club's official website.
