A member of the Black Stars squad for the 2006 World Cup, Dan Quaye, has called on the leadership of Hearts of Oak to consider appointing Annor Walker as the new head coach of the side.

The Phobians are currently without a substantive head coach following the dismissal of Samuel Boadu after a poor start to the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

Samuel Nii Noi and Benjamin Mensah have been named as the interim coaches for the side as they hunt for a new head coach.

Media reports suggest that the club have held talks with Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum to take up the vacant coaching job.

However, Dan Quaye speaking to Accra-based Rainbow Radio reiterated that the hierarchy of the club must consider hiring Annor Walker as the head coach.

According to him, the former Great Olympics boss has the requisite qualities of Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti. Hearts of Oak after three games played into the season sit 13th on the league log with 2 points having suffered a defeat in their opener against Aduana Stars before sharing spoils with Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko respectively.

Annor Walker, who is the head coach of the Black Galaxies has signed a two-year deal with debutants, FC Samartex 1992 before the start of the season.
