The experienced defender, who played for relegated Great Olympics last season is been chased by some clubs in Ghana, especially the new comers.

However, the 37 year old confirmed the rumours about being chased by Karela United.

Dan Quaye who was speaking to Happy FM said he nearly joined the club before their preseason tour of Ivory Coast.

"I had talks with Karela, they asked me to join them before preseason tour but I didn't join because I wasn't ready then," he said.

Karela United spent two weeks in Ivory Coast for preseason, where they played the likes of Asec Mimosa.

Dan Quaye, however, is still without a team but has revealed he hasn't hanged his boots yet and would love to rejoin his former club Accra Hearts of Oak.

"I'm ready to play for any team including Hearts of Oak because now I don't have any contact with Accra Great Olympics," he said on Happy FM.
