The holders fell behind 3-0 in the opening nine minutes, including a fast and easy double that Amartey was primarily to blame for.

After missing a clearing from a header across the box, Philip Zinckernagel was able to give the Championship side the lead.

After that, he played a poor pass back to Foxes goalkeeper Danny Ward, who was pounced on by Forest attacker Brennan Johnson, who finished from close range.

BBC Sport's Martin Keown described it as "comical from a Leicester point of view" in the commentary booth.

Leicester City fans were not happy with the Black Stars defender.

One questioned: "What the hell was Amartey doing?"

Another said: "Wow that Amartey has had a stinker there."

"AMARTEY TWICE," exclaimed a frustrated supporter.
