Ghana defender Daniel Amartey believes his club Leicester City can defend the English Premier League title they won last season. Leicester will begin this season’s campaign with an away trip to newly promoted side Hull City on Saturday.
Amartey who joined the Foxes during the January transfer window last season says they are ready to defend the title.
“I hear people say we can’t defend the title we won last season but I believe that is possible,” he said
“We have really prepared well and we know what is at stake, we must just go through week after week and see how it goes but I have doubt we can defend the title.
Amartey and national teammate Jeffrey Schlupp are expected to play a key role in Leicester City’s campaign this season.
