Returnee Daniel Opare says he is ready to hand competition to Harrison Afful in Black Stars team.
Opare has been named in Coach Kwesi Appiah’s 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
He is making a return to the team after a three year absence- the last time he played for Ghana was at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
But his recent fine form for German side Augsburg has earned him a place in the team.
"I am happy to have earned a call up because it is always our dream to represent our country," he said
"I want to do my best and fight for a spot in the team again, i know i have been out and coming in but i can do that."
The Black Stars are expected to begin camping on Sunday ahead of the game against Uganda.
