Daniel Opare to leave Royal Antwerp at the end of the season

Ghanaian full-back Daniel Opare is set to part ways with Royal Antwerp at the end of the 2019/2020 season where his contract will run out, footballghana.com can report.

The former Ghana u-20 star joined the Belgian Jupiler Pro League club in 2018 as a free agent after his contract with German Bundesliga club Augsburg had run out.

Having spent 2 years in Belgium, Daniel Opare’s contract is about to expire. Due to injury setbacks in the 2019/2020 football season, the former Standard Liege defender could not make an impression for Royal Antwerp.

The little opportunity he had could not convince his employers to give him a contract. Reports available with footballghana.com indicate that there is no offer on the table for the once highly-rated full-back.

In that vein, he will part ways with the club after June especially after Belgian football authorities announcing last week that they are ending the Jupiler Pro League.

Daniel Opare, 29, is expected to look at other options with his agency and will hope to land a new transfer deal when the summer transfer window opens.
