Sidelined Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, David Duncan has stirred the hornets nest by accusing the Porcupine Warriors' General Mnager, Opoku Nti of shirking responsibility anytime things go wrong.

According the Duncan when things go wrong at Asante Kotoko, it is easy for the General Manager to search for a scapegoat to blame so that he does not have to accept responsibility which he describes as one bad characteristic of Mr. Opoku Nti.

“I put it out to them. And as usual typical of the general manager (Opoku Nti) anytime he sees problem coming he shirks responsibility.

"He never wants to take the blame. He will blame somebody else. When I complained about the bad state of the Adepah guest house in Sunyani where lodged ahead of the FA Cup game against AK Shion, he told me that he was not responsible for that but it was the duty of the operations manager (George Kennedy).

"We had to forget it and move on from there since nothing changed” Duncan stressed.

Duncan who is currently in Accra on a week holiday disclosed that Opoku Nti rarely listened to his suggestions including on one occasion when he suggested a change in lodging.

“Four to five player were made to sleep one bed. I mean how should this happen at Kotoko? When I was inspecting the rooms I found out that Evans Quao, Sarfo Gyamfi, Ernest Sowah and Obed Owusu were going to use the same one room.

"I always inspect hotel rooms for my players to ensure everybody is comfortable before I go to my room. I have been doing this anywhere I go. So I did not even sleep that night till daybreak going into the FA Cup game. I stayed outside,” the former Ashantigold coach revealed.

Duncan made these revelations on Kumasi-based Metro 94.1 FM on Saturday when he spoke extensively on why he was asked to step aside from the club in April this year.
