Coach David Duncan blamed naivety for Medeama’s narrow defeat against Accra Great Olympics on Monday afternoon.

The defeat against the Dade boys was their third straight defeat after losing against Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea.

Medeama SC will play Ghana Premier League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Saturday in their next league game.

Reacting to the defeat against Olympics coach David Duncan said his side failed to win due to inexperience but they will return to the drawing board and correct their mistakes.

“It was a cagey game never our wildest imagination considered the fact that we were coming up against a team that we could run over. So in the first half we tried as much as possible to stay in the game for as long as it lasted and perhaps take our chances if it came up. We were trying to operate most of the time from the wild areas were we knew Olympics were a little bit vulnerable because they played three at the back. A couple of times we caught them on the back foot you saw some of the names Moro Mukhtar this was his first game ever you saw the kind of output he delivered this afternoon Hafiz same," he said after the game.

"All I can say is we could have made the game easier for ourselves in the first half we didn’t do that because of naivety, immaturity on the part. There was an opportunity were Prosper was supposed to have centered for Hans to just tap in that was suppose to be a two man thing. The cliché will always play back at you when like they say if you refuse to take your chances the come back to hunt you or hurt you,"

“Now we have to just look at our mistakes or do a post-mortem of what happened before we think about going into the match against Kotoko. Is early days yet. Am not going to look beyond my nose. I have to perhaps look at what the next training section will be like. You know Kotoko will take care of itself as we go along throughout the week, trying to figure out how to map up the strategy to pick up the three points against them,”
