David Ocloo to lead Hearts of Oak for Super Clash against Asante Kotoko?

Hearts of Oak's assistant coach David Ocloo could lead the team in their Ghana Premier League week 20 game against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at Accra Sports Stadium.

This follows advice from the Ghana Police Service to head coach Slavko Matic to stay away from the team until further notice, as reported by Accra-based radio station Unique FM.

It is currently unclear whether Matic, the Serbian football coach, will be in the dugout when the Phobians take on their rivals today.

Ocloo, a former assistant coach at Asante Kotoko, has taken charge of the team before when Samuel Boadu was sacked prior to Matic's appointment.

Angry supporters of the Ghanaian giants stopped the 46-year-old Matic from leading training at his Pobiman camp when he arrived with his team earlier on Friday morning.

After the team lost 1-0 to city rivals Accra Great Olympics on Wednesday in week 19 of the Ghana Premier League, there were warnings from supporters' leaders the day before.

Hearts of Oak's season has been inconsistent, with the club unable to put together any winning streaks and currently sitting sixth on the league log with 28 points. The Phobians appointed Matic head coach just five months ago.
