David Offei, who played for Asante Kotoko between 2010 and 2013, is dissatisfied with the present status of the Ghana Premier League powerhouse.
The midfielder has played for several clubs in Ghana, including Accra Great Olympics FC and New Edubias FC, but he credits Kotoko for helping get his football career on the right path.
Asante Kotoko finished second in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, behind champions Accra Hearts of Oak.
Speaking to ghanasportspage.com, David Offei described the club's togetherness throughout their stay in Kumasi.
“Kotoko is still a club. Up till now I feel sad when I see Kotoko playing because of the absence of the little things used to do that was helping the club. I don’t know it is because of the management and new squad,"
“Checking on one or two things they do, I can’t see that there’s no togetherness compared to our time because when you join Kotoko you become like a blood,"
“Asante Kotoko is the club that helped me to get more experience at my time because they don’t know anything apartment from you when you join them so I was always serious even when playing a friendly match. Kotoko is still in our blood,"
“At our time we loved ourselves like brothers. We were always happy meeting at the pitch. We all wished to meet again in the next day for training because there was unity,” he concluded.
