Debut delight as Abdul Fatawu scores first goal for Trelleborgs FF in win over Vasteraas BK

Ghanaian international Abdul Fatawu Safiu found the back of the net to open his goal-scoring account for his new side Trelleborgs FF in their 2-1 win over Vasteraas BK at as he marked his debut.

The forward completed his loan move to the Swedish second-tier club from Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko this summer with an option to make the deal permanent if he impresses.

Marking his league debut for Trelleborgs FF since joining, he managed to fire in his first goal as they beat Vasteraas BK on Sunday at the Vangavallen Stadion.

Abdul Fatawu Safiu scored on the 44th minutes after Mattias Hakansson had given the Blue and White lads the lead on the 11th minute.

Brian Span scored the consolation goal for Vasteraas BK but it was not enough to salvage anything for them at the end of the 90 minutes.

Safiu, 25, was later replaced by Zoran Jovanovic in the dying minutes of the match after impressing throughout.
